Do you want to look like a viking?

Viking age re-enactment is growing more and more. To be able to contribute to and participate in a world that feels like the Viking age, we need clothes; clothes that make us look and feel like vikings.
This is exactly what I want to help you with. The idea behind this site is to provide you with more information and help you with creating a Viking age outfit that is as real as possible, based on your desires and possibilities.
I also have a webshop with my patterns, fabric, yarn and haberdashery that you need for creating a viking age outfit. You can reach it via the Shop button in the menu.

About me

My name is Susanna Broomé and I am the one who runs Viking Age Clothing. I am a reenactor since many years and I have sold my patterns since 1995. They have evolved a lot since then and there is always more to learn. I love to dig deep into the archaeological literature and to study small fragments to unfold their secrets about how people looked and lived long ago. I also love to share my knowledge, to write and to teach. And I love textile handicrafts, to build beautiful objects from threads and fabrics with my hands.
